Lou Yio Adams

I am a Taiwanese-American pop and dance music singer, and visual artist who likes to experiment with animations and cinematic filming. Switching effortlessly between English and Mandarin, I am hoping to fuse electronic grooves with the centuries-old art of Chinese calligraphy, creating performances where ancient brush-strokes morph into neon futures. Each track is an invitation to connect and imagine a world where cultures dance together.

I am also a long-time software engineer with two decades of industry experience, now actively exploring agentic AI workflows and AI-assisted coding. My video and visual art projects are built on AI-generated imagery and video, which I edit and produce in DaVinci Resolve.

Sumi-e Style Conversion | Character Art

This is a style conversion experiment for "Good Guy Running" — a character originally designed in Western comic cel-shaded style, converted into traditional East Asian sumi-e (墨繪, ink wash painting) using the GPT-Image-2 model.

The converted version incorporates bamboo ink wash backgrounds, a traditional red seal stamp, and the Chinese calligraphy "靜水深流 心自澄明" (still waters run deep; still minds settle clear).

Below the Wave Function | Animation Video

In this short clip, the two quantum physicists Lou and Hank were debating spirituality with the high priest Miran, after entering the underground city of Aravyn. What is our reality? Is it matter, or just the perception of matter?

This 30-second clip was directed and generated by Runway Agent. I started out by uploading the reference images of the three characters and the scene, along with a brief outline of the story. Runway Agent wrote the detailed beats of the script, and generated two versions of videos from it. Then I edited them in DaVinci Resolve and combined the best moments into the final production. It took about 4 hours to complete. (English and Mandarin subtitles are available.)

The Horizons Reset | Animation Video Trailer

This is a short story about two quantum physicists accidentally discovering an ancient underground civilization called Aravyn, where they met the high priest Miran, who told them the world's energy was in grave danger. There will be more short stories in this series.

The production pipeline started with character images generated in GPT-Image-2, edited in graphic software, then fed into the Seedance 2.0 video model for animation. I edited and assembled the final cut in DaVinci Resolve, and remixed the background orchestral score. About 80 work hours from first image to finished trailer.

Rihanna — Diamonds (Cover by Me) | Music Video

The foreground footage is me performing the song, captured on a Sony camera against a green screen. The desert backgrounds were generated through Runway's Gen-4.5 video model and composited behind the live footage.

This was a four-month production and my introduction to DaVinci Resolve — learning the editor, the compositing workflow, and color grading all on the same project. Most people who've seen it didn't realize the backgrounds were AI-generated; they assumed the desert scenes were shot on location.
